Hello Peru School District Community,
The District is reaching out to families to remind everyone about the Town Hall meeting scheduled for August 17 at 6:00 pm in the HS Auditorium. All participants will be required to wear a face mask at all times.
Please understand that the Peru Central School District has every intent to reopen our schools in the most inclusive and safe manner possible. We are also making every effort to return to school in person, 5-days per week, and under the hours of our specific school house schedules. Given the nature of operating a school district during a worldwide pandemic, there remains a level of uncertainty regarding school operations. School personnel, parents, guardians, and students must remain flexible as educational and operational plans may change as the COVID-19 virus evolves and the state/federal guidelines are modified.
On August 12, NYS Education Department issued a Health and Safety Guide for the 2021-2022 School Year. The link to this guide is provided below. We will utilize that guidance when planning our reopening.
