Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible. Show Compassion, Self-Control, and Citizenship.
Dear K-2 Families,
We are very excited to share the new PSET initiatives in the K-2 House! Our Positive School Environment Team (PSET) has worked to revamp our PSET initiatives for this school year! We work to engage students and faculty in creating a more positive school environment.
Our committee has created teaching videos that are rolled out at our assemblies, which teach “Compassion,” “Self-Control,” and “Citizenship” using our very own Peru superheroes and our 2nd grade actresses and actors. Please visit, “The Pride Squad” page to view our teaching videos with Captain Compassion, Super Self-Control, and Citizens Prime! We continually promote Peru’s 3 B’s: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible also.
When students demonstrate the 3 B’s or show “Compassion,” “Self-Control,” or “Citizenship,” they will earn a “Shout-Out!” I proudly read these “Shout-Outs” during morning announcements and celebrate student successes.
New this year, each student is given a lanyard and earns a merit badge for demonstrating each of the following character traits: Compassion, Self-Control, and Citizenship. The students wear these lanyards proudly to each of our assemblies! At the end of the school year, the students will bring the lanyards and merit badges home to share with their families!

Peru Pride Certificate
Peru Pride Certificates are awarded to students that go above and beyond. These students follow our 3Bs on the matrix. They are respectful, responsible and safe at all times.

K-2 House: The Pride Squad
Welcome to the Pride Squad! The Pride Squad is a collection of super heroes that embody the character traits of “Compassion”, “Self-Control”, and “Citizenship”. Together with their young hero helpers “The Peru Crew” they arrive when needed to teach students about these valuable qualities.
