Peru Central School Online High School

Overview

The purpose of PeruCSD ONLINE High School is to offer to students an alternative path to obtaining a high school diploma and/or credit for high school coursework. The curriculum will continue to prepare students for post-secondary education and the workforce. At the same time, online coursework gives students the opportunity to explore technology as a tool for learning.

The online courses will follow the same general timeline as the traditional courses, with required academic progress and contact with a Peru teacher on a weekly basis. In addition, students must complete the course requirements independently by specific due dates. Because of the nature of online courses, it is important that the student understands the requirements and commits the time and energy needed to complete the work successfully.

Participation  in PeruCSD ONLINE High School Scenarios:

  • The student needs to retake a course for grade recovery
  • The student needs to participate in a summer school program
  • The student is unable to attend school during the regularly scheduled school day due to an identified medical condition
  • The student is participating in the PM school program
  • The student has a desire to participate in courses that are not currently offered by our district

PeruCSD ONLINE High School courses are constructed by Peru teachers and completed by students through the use of Peru Moodle and our Peru accounts in study.com.

  5. All participating parties must sign the Online Learning Contract
  6. The assignments form is distributed to all (ie…student, parent, appropriate staff)
  7. In order to receive the appropriate credit, all students must complete the coursework by the assigned deadline.
