TYPE: 10 Month (hourly position)
TITLE: Teacher Aide – 15:1 classroom
WORK LOCATION: Middle School
HOURS: *32.5 hours per week
HOURLY RATE: $15.31/hr (Salary based on the 2023-24 CSEA Salary Schedule)
*Health Insurance (Valued @ up to $31,007 annually) or Health Insurance Buyout (Valued @ up to $12,541 annually) Eligible Position
PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE:
Duties may include: Monitoring student behavior in class, lunch, specials and recess, requires assistance with, basic health, hygiene and toileting if necessary, collecting data on student behavior, escorting student to time out (experience with non-violent crisis intervention and physical restraint), monitoring student in time out, being an active participant on the behavior management team, assisting the class under the direction of the classroom teacher. Good general intelligence; ability to establish good relationships with children; familiarity with classroom routine; above average clerical aptitude; resourcefulness in conducting activities related to the teaching process; knowledge of computers helpful; neat personal appearance; ability to maintain discipline; tact; courtesy; good judgment; good physical condition; enjoy working with students in a classroom setting under the direct supervision of a classroom teacher.
