Vicki Tedford, High School Nurse
Mrs. Vicki Tedford came to Peru Central School in 1990 after obtaining 5 years of experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing at CVPH. Mrs. Tedford is the always quick to determine proper care after an injury, assessing knowledge of new medications prescribed, and encourages questions to avoid confusion. Do not think “any question is a stupid question, because it is not” is her philosophy. Give her a call at 643-6442.

Kathy Ames, Seton/District Nurse
After working in the Engineering field for quite some time, Kathy Ames opted to return to school and follow in the footsteps of several family members, pursuing a career as a Registered Nurse. She attended Clinton Community College and graduated cum laude with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Prior to joining the Peru team, she spent several years gaining valuable experience as a medical/surgical nurse at Champlain Valley Physicians’ Hospital. She now serves our schools as Seton/District Nurse, dividing her time among each of the school health offices throughout the district, which allows her the opportunity to work with children of all ages. Kathy feels that healthy kids make better learners, and it is the role of the school nurses to help kids reach their potential through health promotion.

My name is Kathy Bedard and I have been employed at Peru Elementary for 9 years. I have worked at CVPH and the Clinton County Health Department over the past 23 years as a nurse. I received my bachelor of nursing degree from SUNY Plattsburgh.
I love working with children and enjoy seeing them smile. I'm looking forward to a safe and healthy school year.
Brienne Brown, 12:1:3:1 Nurse
Shortly after graduating high school, some years ago, I started working for individuals with disabilities. It was a field that I quickly discovered I was passionate about and knew that I wanted to do more. I graduated from Adirondack Community College in 2008 where I received my RN. After that I began working for a local agency as an RN and still continue to work there to this day. I became the Classroom Nurse for the 12:1:3:1 room here at Peru, in January of 2014. Every day is interesting and I wouldn't have it any other way!
