Industry partners will serve the critical role of Mentors. Industry Mentors will participate in Mentor Training provided by College for Every Student (CFES) that is specific to ADK P-TECH.

Industry Partners will also work closely with high school Faculty and higher education partners from Clinton Community College and Clarkson University to provide 'real world' workplace and career skills that are the foundations for success for students.

The strategic partnerships of ADK P-TECH result in a strong workforce pipeline that  addresses the needs of employers, families and community members using a combination of STEM Training, certificate programs such as the National Work Readiness Credential, articulated high school courses for college credit, high school to college degree programs, job shadow and internship experiences, and a continuum of student mentoring by college students and industry professionals. The following activities will support this:
    • Awareness Days and Plant Tours for early high school students to become familiar with regional job opportunities in In Demand Occupations, the necessary skill sets for employment, and required high school and/or college courses necessary to develop career pathways.
    • Job shadowing and paid summer internships for high school and college students for which they will receive course credit as appropriate and that will provide extended time to develop both technical and "career" skills required for future employment.
    • Paid summer Externships in targeted industries for teachers to have a "real life" experience and develop insights that can be integrated into lessons and guidance sessions.
