MMr. O'Connell's Classroom Rules and Expectations
Why do we have classroom rules?  The answer is very simple--respect.  The purpose of school is for learning.  I would like all of my students to have the opportunity to have a successful learning experience.  In order to do that, everyone in class must be aware of my expectations and respect each other.  So that we call all have an excellent year, I have set in place five simple classroom rules to follow.
RULE #1:  Respect the people, equipment, supplies, and furnishings of Room 32 RULE #2:  Adjust your volume to suit the activity.
RULE #3:  Follow directions the first time I give them, though I will repeat directions once. RULE #4:  Have all materials and supplies ready when told to do so.  Transitions will be swift, quiet, and orderly.
Rule #5:  Raise your hand and wait for permission to talk.  NEVER interrupt except for emergencies.
During the first days of school you will learn about our classroom discipline system, and our classroom rewards system!
