New York State Testing for Fifth Graders
During the fifth grade year, students will take three New York State Assessments. 
Social Studies English/Language Arts Mathematics
November May 4th-6th May 11th-13th
NO Social test this year Part I students read various genres of reading selections, and answer questions based on the readings. 

Part II requires students to listen to an article, take notes, and answer questions. 

Finally, students will proofread a piece of writing.

 

Part I consists of 26 multiple choice questions. 

Part II is composed of eight multi-step problems.
