The Regents Chemistry course is an overview of modern chemistry. During the course of study we will investigate the following topics: Matter and Energy Atomic Structure Bonding The Periodic Table Mathematics of Chemistry Kinetics and Equilibrium Acids and Bases Redox and Electrochemistry Organic Chemistry Nuclear Chemistry

- Laboratory Requirement - New York State sets the laboratory standards for this course. The standard is as follows: Each student must be engaged in laboratory activities for at least thirty - 40 minute periods (of the equivalent thereof). Satisfactory written reports of these laboratory experiences must be prepared by the student and kept in the school for six months following the date of the final examination. If a student fails to meet the laboratory requirements, he/she will not be allowed to take the Regents examination. |
