Hi, my name is Nicole Robbins and I am currently a reading teacher in the primary building.  I have been working in the Peru district for four years. 

I was raised in a small town in the heart of the Finger Lakes.  Considering my family raised my brother and I in a rural wine part of the country, we were able to enjoy and appreciate the outdoors.  Those experiences made the move to Plattsburgh much smoother.  I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and skiing.  In addition, I also enjoy scrapbooking, cooking, music, sewing, crocheting and am the happiest when I am reading a good book, whether for pleasure or to seek information. 

I graduated from Plattsburgh State with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and am certified to teach regular education Kindergarten through sixth grade.  Following that, I pursued my Master's degree in Literacy education and am certified to teach reading intervention classes to students Kindergarten through sixth grade.   

It is our mission at Peru Primary to catch students before they fall.  We closely monitor the progress of every student on key, basic literacy skills and adjust our instruction to meet the needs of every learner.
